Hello guys, how are you today? I hope you are fine and healthy always! Now the COVID-19 Pandemic has taken place and it has been 3 Years since 2020. However, it is different from 2020 and 2021, in 2022 the COVID-19 Pandemic has begun to subside and almost all activities have been running as before the Pandemic. Therefore, we do not only discuss the Summary of the COVID-19 Pandemic, but also the Summary of General Events.

During the 2022 New Year Celebration, now there are 274 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Indonesia, bringing the total number to 4,262,994 Peoples. Patients who recovered were 4,114,499 Peoples (+ 165 Peoples), and patients who died were 144,096 Peoples (+ 2 Peoples). Also, 161,861,222 People have taken the First Dose Vaccine while 114,030,438 People have taken the Second Dose Vaccination. And the number of Third Dose Vaccination is 1,288,890 Doses.

Indonesia has confirmed 299 new cases, bringing the total number to 4,263,732 people. 168 patients recovered, bringing the total to 4,114,969 people. Three patients died, bringing the total to 144,105 people.

In Indonesia, more than 24,000 people have been evacuated following a major Flood on Sumatra Island. Meanwhile, China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States - the five permanent members of the UN Security Council - have issued a rare joint statement affirming that “nuclear war cannot be won and must not be fought.”

The Indonesian Medical Association (IDI) announced that Indonesia has entered the Third Wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A study by the CDC found that wearing surgical masks in indoor public places can reduce the likelihood of testing positive for COVID-19 by 66%, while tight-fitting N95 and KN95 masks can reduce the risk of infection by 83%.

China and Russia issued a joint statement opposing further NATO expansion, expressing "serious concerns" about the AUKUS security pact, and promising to cooperate with each other on various issues.

Incumbent Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, faced criticism from the public and human rights organizations following the deployment of police officers in Wadas Village.

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has made it mandatory for those who missed their second dose of COVID-19 vaccination to restart the vaccination process with the second dose after 6 months of the first dose. Additionally, those whose expiration is not more than six months are eligible to receive the second dose. In both cases, vaccination with a different brand is allowed depending on the vaccine expiration date. This policy is implemented to address the slow rate of second dose vaccination, with 2.5 million people having received only one dose after 6 months.

A Russian airstrike on the Mariupol Theater in Mariupol killed around 600 Civilians who had taken shelter inside. Also, WHO postponed an examination regarding the Russian Sputnik V vaccine approval process due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The difference in the start of fasting became a topic of debate in society, but eventually, the government announced that Eid al-Fitr (1 Shawwal 1443 H) falls on the same day as Muhammadiyah, which is 2 May 2022.
